I
am somewhat of a vase collector, so I was happy when I found that I could request a custom vase made with my sister's
ashes. When I saw it for the first time, it brought tears to my eyes...not only because of the sentiment and obvious
beauty, but the vase looks almost as if there are angel wings surrounding her. My sister said she wanted her ashes someplace
beautiful, and I think I accomplished that wish. I knew that I wanted to have a couple of pieces done for
myself, but I also had Ryan do a couple of extra paper weights that I had planned to give as gifts. Sometimes people
will tell you that they don't want anything made from the ashes, but I am so glad I had them made. When I gave them
to family, they were thrilled. Ryan and the staff at Edge Art Gallery are very caring and really listened
to what I wanted. I would recommend the gallery to anyone wanting to have something special done with the ashes of a
loved one. -Deb Linenko
They handled
my fathers ashes with respect and kindness. They came up with a beautiful memorial that I will cherish for the rest
of my life. Each piece is unique and defines your loved one. Thank you so much for everything
that you did for us. We were truly blessed to take our vacation in Newport and find you to create my fathers memorial
and keep sake. I tell all my friends about you and show them the beautiful glass work that you created. I really
cant thank you enough. I hope all goes well with you and your business. -Thank you,LaDana and Jeremy Castor It
is with great pleasure that I write this testimonial for Ryan Bledsoe at The Edge Gallery in South Beach, Oregon. My husband
was an avid floater hunter on the Oregon Coast. When he passed away from a long battle with cancer this year, I struggled
to find some way to honor his passing for family members back East.
When I heard about Ryan's "memorial
glass" exhibit in his gallery, I immediately went to see the glass work he had available. The floats were beautiful,
and they were a perfect way for my husband's family to remember him. I sent messages out to family members with a link
to his website so that they could pick the color and design they liked the best. Family members on the East Coast had never
heard of incorporating ashes into blown glass objects as "memorial glass". They were all delighted with the concept.
I certainly would recommend The Edge Gallery to anyone who is interested in a beautiful keepsake of their loved ones.
Floats are only one example of the memorial glass objects offered, but for our family this was the perfect choice.
